Our Story: RockDove was created in 2002 as a beachside workshop in Santa Monica, California, resoling hiking boots for adventurous customers. As they asked for quality indoor shoes to console their high-mileage, trail-weary feet, we began handcrafting slippers.

The Experiment: With little to build on, we designed slippers with the goal of comforting extremely tired feet, using innovative materials like memory foam and gel insoles. The customer response was overwhelming, and we named our slippers after the rock dove (pigeon).

Inspired by Adventure, Made for the Everyday: Our legacy of creating footwear for the most exhausted, adventure-wearied feet lives on. We make slippers so that anyone on their feet all day can count on switching into the world's most comfortable slippers once they get home.

The Sweet Spot Comfort Level: Our quest for the perfect comfort level pushed us to become one of the earliest adopters of high-density memory foam in slippers, leading to a multilayered foam construction that offers incredible comfort without feeling like walking in quicksand.
